UhhhhhhhhAhhhhhhhh....

That's either the noise I make when I am frustrated about getting a job, or when I just had a cheese enchilada at some Mexican food place.
Well I hadn't heard back from Benchmark Environmental in Dallas so I called them and never got a call back. Finally on Monday I received an email stating that they were not going to decide till after Labor Day. UHHHHHHHH.
On Thursday I had an interview with Arcadis. I had no idea what the job really was besides the title listed on CareerBuilder.com. I met with three different employees of Arcadis. The first was their personal guy. He was nice and seemed to like me but then he told me what the job was. If hired I would be driving 55 hours a week to far off isolated sites were I would asses wells and soils. Sometimes I would be gone for one or two nights based on what the project entailed. This worried me because it did not sound like what I would want. There was room for advancement that would be over a period of 3 to 4 years. I don't think I can wait that long. This is very frustrating. I left them with the idea that I would like to do the job. If they do call me back next week I think I will decline the offer. That is no life for a person... especially one as young as I am.

I'm gonna have a brother!

Its FINALLY official! My sibling has gone off and done gotten herself hitched. Steven Booker asked her in New Braunfels on her birthday yesterday. Unfortunately I was not there and I haven't heard any of the details. It's been one day and she has already picked out her dress and her bridesmaid's dresses. I don't know really how to react to this, I'm sure it just hasn't set in. They set the date for Dec 31st.

Interview...

Well, It went as well as I could hope. But, I found out that there were 10 other people applying for the same position! So, I'm not gonna put to much hope in getting that job. But that doesn't stop the fact that I think I would really enjoy working there. Oh well, the lady that interviewed me said that after she finished the last 3 interviews this comming up week she would give me a call.
Wish me luck!

Blood Ancients

During some past holiday, I went to my grandmothers house. While I was there my grandmother came and sat by me on the couch. She calmly spoke to me as if what she had to say she only wanted me to hear. "Will," she said,"I wanted you to know that I don't care what everyone else says, I think your a handsome young man." I didn't quite know what to say so I just say "Uhhh thanks." She got up saying nothing else to me and went into the kitchen.
Just last November, my family was gathered with my grandparents and a few of my other relatives for thanksgiving dinner. Towards the end of dinner my grandparents decided that they wanted a picture of the events. They went around the dinner table taking pictures of clusters of my family. Finally they got to me and those around me. At first I made silly faces due to my insecurities because I'm not very photogenic. Then after my grandparents go mad I started to make serious faces for the picture. That's when I thought they would be appeased and leave me alone. Nope, "WILL, WE SAID TO QUITE MAKING THOSE FACES!" I know that I love my grandparents, but sometimes I don't know that I like them all that much.

INTERVIEW!

YEAAAAHHH, I have an interview next Thursday in Dallas! Its for the Benchmark Environmental Consulting. I received a call this morning from a Mrs. O. Her real name sounds something a lot like Oscar Mayer but people must get it wrong a lot so she tells people to call her Mrs. O. I just realized that it sounds like its her secret agent name, lol. Anyway I got to get up get dressed and burn rubber to Dallas next week. I'm so elated, but I can't put all my hopes into this one. It is just my first one. Oh, another thing is that I got this interview on my own and its not like some favor from my Dad's boss or associates. Not saying that's bad, but it kind of feels better this way. Wow, it would be so great... Will Rasmussen, Environmental Technician. Lol, I'm such a huge dork.

Naruto

Since my sophomore year of college I have discovered and loved Anime. I think it is awesome to be able to view another culture (I know not always accurately) through the eyes of their artists. Lately I have found Manga. I download it and read it on my computer. If I could I would print it out and read it but that would take up to much time and money to do so. Currently I am reading Naruto. I had been watching the anime version in fansub for quite a while but now they quit making it so I decided to read the manga version. They are exactly the same. Most manga and anime I see are a little different. But they copied the manga perfectly in the anime. This manga is about a little boy growing up in a ninja village, where he is trying to find existential affirmation by becoming the leader of his village. He can only do this by becoming the strongest ninja. Along his journeys Naruto meets many opponents that share his desire just to be recognized and acknowledged. Though he is forced to destroy them, you sense some of Naruto's own childlike behavior vanish after every battle. Anyway if your looking for a good read and you like a lot of pictures. Then I would definitely recommend Naruto.
